Radial Corner Frame

Needed: PSP , I did this with PSP8 but
you should be able to use PSP7 as well.
Animation Shop too of course!
 
1 Open the graphic you want to use.
Edit / Copy and close.
 
2 Ctrl + N
(Open a new 350 x 350 transparent image )
 
3 Ctrl + A (Selections/Select All)
 
4 Selections/Modify/ Contract = 10
 
5 Ctrl + Shift + i  (Selections/Invert)
 
6 Flood Tool: Fill the selection with a color
or pattern of your choosing.
Add any effects to it that you like.
You will want to at least apply an inner
bevel to it rather than have it flat.
 
7 Ctrl + D (Selections/Select NONE)
 
8 Layers/Duplicate
 
9 Make the bottom layer active on your
layers palette.
 
10 Ctrl + R  (Image/Rotate/Free Rotate)
Settings = right,  45°,
Both Boxes Unchecked
 
11 Layers/Merge/Merge Visible
 
12 Magic Wand Tool:
Settings:
 
Left click in the center of the transparent
image.
 
13 Selections/Modify/Expand = 1
 
14 Ctrl + Shift + L
(Edit/Paste/Paste Into Selection)
 
15 Sharpen and/or enhance image as
desired.
 
16 Layers/New Raster Layer
 
17 Effects/3D Effects/Cutout
Settings:
Vert. and Horiz. both = 2
Opacity = 100, Blur = 15
Color = Black, Fill = Unchecked
 
Note: You may apply your Watermark to
the graphic at this time. If you add a layer
be sure to merge the layers... you want to
have only one layer before proceeding. 
 
18 Layers/Merge/Merge Visible
 
19 Ctrl + D (Selections/Select None)
 
20 Select a Gradient.. could be a gold one.
You might like to pick 2 contrasting colors
such as a light medium and a blackish
dark color from your graphic with your
Dropper Tool and use the Foreground-Background
gradient option.
 
Settings:
Angle = 180,   Repeats = 150, Invert Checked
Style = Radial
(this is the 4th block to the right)
Center points both = 50
OK !
 
21 Magic Wand Tool:
Click in each transparent corner so all 4
are selected.
 
22 Selections/Modify/Expand = 1
 
23 (F) Flood Fill Tool:
Settings
Match Mode = None, Sample Merged = checked
Blend mode = Normal, Opacity = 100
 
Click in one of the selected areas and all
of them will fill since we have the setting
mode set at Normal! WEEeee!
 
24 Layers/Duplicate
 
25 On your Material (or Color) Palette
Swap colors by clicking on the double
arrow as shown below.
Where the white arrow is pointing!
 
26 Flood Fill the corners again
 
27 Ctrl + D
(or Selections/Select None)
 
28 File/Save As = Save as a PSP Image
with the .psp extension.

1 Open Animation Shop
 
2 File/Open the psp file that you just saved
 
3 View/Animation
 
4 File/Save as
Save to your files.
 

Remember to Watermark your creations!
